Great War
Why would the allies not have won the great war without America?
My friends and I are doing a project on why the Allies could not have won the great war without the help of America. We can't really find much on the topic so does anybody know why or know a website that could help us? Thanks
The First World War was almost over when the US joined in May 1917. Germany was blockaded and starving, the Royal Navy had introduced convoys. It was a very different scenario from WW2 and you shouldn't confuse the two.

Unlike WW2 however Russia dropped out of the war following the Revolutions, so it was extremely helpful to have the prospect of American assistance.
